Greg Woods

Founder / President

With a passion for both residential and commercial construction, Greg is the construction manager and lead estimator for all G.F. Woods Construction projects. Building in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2005, Greg’s passion lies in assembling talented project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and architects, to create an unprecedented building experience. Great design, clear communication, and impeccable quality are the fundamentals that Greg lives by in turning clients’ dreams into the built reality. With a degree in architecture from CU Boulder and a passion for building, Greg understands his clients’ and architects’ design intents for creating structures of the highest quality and craftsmanship. A lover of the outdoors and backcountry, Greg can be found with his wife and two children enjoying rounds of golf, skiing, and trail running when not at work.

Martha O'Keefe

Controller / Chief Financial Officer

Originally from the California Bay Area, Martha moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1982 and started her longtime accounting career. Starting in banking and then moving into the position of Controller/Business Manager at Aspen Magazine. In 2004 Martha began what is now her career passion in Construction Project Accounting. Aside from work, Martha is an active member of the Roaring Fork Community, volunteering for numerous organizations. She has been a member of the Snowmass Village Rotary Club since 2005. Martha loves to golf, travel and most importantly she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and her grandchildren.

Craig Ragan

Project Manager

Craig started with GF Woods Construction with a strong background as a Superintendent managing high end residential projects in the Roaring Fork Valley. This role consisted of coordination and execution of both quality control and construction based scheduling of all subcontractors throughout the construction process to ensure successfully completed projects. With this background, Craig’s role in the company changed to Project Manager, becoming the key point of contact between clients, designers, and the subcontractors, with a focus on construction budgets and implementation of project timelines. Expanding beyond only residential projects and branching to include commercial projects, he found both to be equally challenging and rewarding. Craig is dedicated to ensuring that projects not only adhere to the parameters of the budget, but also finish in a timely manner and give the utmost attention to detail. Craig found his home in Aspen, Colorado after graduating from the University of Oregon in the Spring of 1994 and pursued his love for the outdoors.

Eric Wynne

Project Manager

Eric has been with GF Woods since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in construction management from CSU in 2015.  Eric’s role within the company includes project coordination aspects both in pre-construction and implementation during construction focused on quality control and timely project execution. With emphasis on the project management process from groundbreaking through project close out to manage schedule, buyout, budget aspects, and client relations. Eric has worked on a wide variety of projects with GF Woods to date in his professional career. The list includes residential ground up construction, residential remodel, both single family and multi-family units, along with light commercial core and shell projects, tenant improvements, and commercial kitchen / restaurant build out work. As a Colorado native, Eric enjoys all the mountain lifestyle has to offer and gets into backcountry every chance he gets outside of work.

Jenna Fenton-Dew

Project Accountant

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Jenna comes from a family with construction and education backgrounds. She moved to Aspen in 2002 to work with her family’s construction company. In 2005, she headed to Chicago to pursue her master’s degree in education. Jenna settled back in the valley in 2008 and was a first-grade teacher until returning to the construction industry in 2019. Jenna loves spending time with her husband and two young children.

Marlo Dean

Project Accountant

Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Marlo is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After college Marlo enjoyed her time traveling the world and teaching young children before she joined the GF Woods Team in 2020. It was then that she discovered her passion for accounting. When she is not working she enjoys riding horses, camping, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Shaffer

Human Resources / Project Coordinator

Born in the big state of Alaska, Ashley moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2021. Ashley is our organization guru. She brings to the company over 15 years of delivering 5-Star customer experiences in various fields including Retail, Hospitality, Financial, and Construction Management. Ashley has proven to be a born leader in past roles and has recently transitioned into the role of our company’s Human Resource Manager. When Ashley is not in the office, you can catch her in the great outdoors camping, paddleboarding, hiking, and traveling the world with her fiancé and four-legged pal.

Brian Gaddis

Superintendent

After graduating from Lehigh University with a BS in Business, Brian moved to Aspen in the 70s for skiing and hiking. He started as a hands-on carpenter before moving up to site management. Brian has been involved in building luxury residences in the Roaring Fork Valley and in the Vail Valley for years. Projects have included everything from condo remodels, commercial finishes, to a 12,000 square foot custom residence. Close professional relationships with owners, the design team, and subcontractors have been paramount to the success of these projects. Brian’s hands-on experience has been crucial to the coordination of the complex systems that are prevalent in today’s custom projects.

Bryan Scott

Superintendent

Bryan started his career in the construction industry as a union carpenter and received his journeyman certificate in 2008. Bryan has 20 years of construction management experience ranging from civil, major retail developments, retail TI’s, multi use commercial ground up buildings, restaurants, hospitality, and high end residential. Organization, excellent communication and professionalism are virtues that are part of Bryan’s personal makeup and are showcased throughout each project.

Cameron Vautrin

Superintendent

Cameron started his career in building back when he was 16 yrs old. Working as a laborer and an aspiring young framer. Cameron worked for a custom deck builder in Seattle where he started learning the ropes that would one day lead to my position as Superintendent. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and served four years as an Aviation Ordnance man 3rd Class Petty Officer. From there, I went to Commercial Diving School and received my degree to be a Commercial Diver. I spent 12 Yrs working as a diver for engineering firms across the country doing underwater inspections of bridges, dams, outfalls, marinas and more. After spending 12 years in the water, Cameron needed a change and moved to Montana. Once there, he continued his passion for framing and worked for a company building a luxury 5-star guest ranch. Upon completion of the guest ranch, he continued to build high end residential all over Montana, but in the role of Superintendent. In 2020 Cameron and his now wife Emily moved to Snowmass Village to start a new chapter in their lives. Shortly after arriving in the Roaring Fork Valley, Cameron started working with GF Woods Construction and has worked on residential as well as commercial projects in Aspen. Cameron truly loves the construction process, from design to completion and everything in between.

Chris Keever

Superintendent

Chris’s passion for building began early in life, learning to build homes alongside his uncle and extending into a career in structural steel for the next 20 years. In 2012 Chris moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to use his skills in high end residential and commercial projects. The knowledge and experience gained while working alongside other trades has led him to effectively understand any project from start to finish. Outside of being a dedicated superintendent you can find him with his wife teaching their two sons about hunting, fishing and conservation.

Craig Kilday

Superintendent

Craig has always had the passion for building one of a kind homes. Craig is a seasoned superintendent who has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. He has gained a wealth of knowledge for the process of putting together a project from start to finish. Craig started working for G.F. Woods Construction in 2017 and has enjoyed the years with Greg Woods and the team. Craig enjoys spending time with his wife and children and spending time at his cabin.

Larry Flores

Superintendent

With over 40 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, Larry is a lead Superintendent for G.F. Woods Construction overseeing commercial and residential. Developing his knowledge in the greater Austin, TX area as well as Westchester County area in New York. Larry hasworked his way up from the bottom into a lead superintendent role where he brings work ethic, timeliness, and quality to every project he works on. Larrybelieves in quality over quantity and makes sure each client falls in love with the building experience along the way. The fine details matter. In his free time, Larry can be found snowboarding, golfing, camping, and watching classic films.

Chris Tigchelaar

Jeff Whisler

Assistant Superintendent

Jeff moved to the Aspen Valley in 2007 after graduating from the University of Connecticut. Jeff owned and operated a sizable commercial, mixed-use, residential, and HOA management business prior to joining the G.F. Woods Construction team. While operating his Management business, Jeff enjoyed overseeing and participating in large scale capital improvement projects, tenant finishes, and Re-Development projects, including multiple projects completed by the G.F. Woods team at commercial properties he managed. In his free time Jeff enjoys reading, skiing, mountain biking, and anything fitness related. Jeff is married and lives in Aspen with his wife, Erin and dog, Bodi.

Jon Peña

Assistant Superintendent

Jon Peña grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and committed to the construction industry six years ago. With a devotion for framing, drywall, finish carpentry, and the experience of seeing a project come to reality. He is also a dedicated family man, with his wife and daughter who love to camp, swim, and snowboard.

José Ramírez

Assistant Superintendent

José Ramírez began his career at GF WOODS CONSTRUCTION as a laborer, diving into the industry with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Over the years, his dedication and hard work have propelled him through the ranks, and he currently holds the position of Assistant Superintendent. His journey is a testament to his growth and resilience in the construction field.

In his role, José excels at problem resolution, demolition, reading plans, and people management. His ability to tackle challenges head-on and coordinate effectively with his team has been instrumental in his career advancement. His technical skills, combined with his leadership qualities, make him a vital asset to his projects.

Outside of work, José's love for the outdoors shines through. He enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking, embracing the thrill and serenity of nature in his downtime. These hobbies reflect his energetic and adventurous spirit, qualities that he carries into his professional life.

José is now setting his sights on becoming a Project Manager, aiming to leverage his experience and skills to drive successful project outcomes. His journey at GF WOODS CONSTRUCTION is marked by continuous growth, and he is committed to making a significant impact in the field he is passionate about.

Oscar Ortiz

Assistant Superintendent

Oscar started metal stud framing and sheet rock hanging and finishing at a very young age. Always looking for the best way to work diligently in a safe environment and following the established rules to create a work environment that is efficient and timely. Oscar enjoys spending time with his wife and family when not working.

Taylor Gaddis

Foreman
